The Krkonoše Mountains offer countless opportunities for active and passive recreation - the largest ski resort in Bohemia, groomed cross-country ski trails, cycling trails, hiking trails, golf and much more. Thanks to its location on the Jizerka River, with its own ski resort, surrounded by forests and yet close to other mountain resorts, the village of Vítkovice is an ideal starting point for any kind of activity or quiet relaxation. The Giant Mountains offer a wide range of hiking trails of all levels of difficulty. From Vítkovice you can, for example, go to the Vurmovka ski resort, continue to the village of Rezek and along the slopes of the Wolf Ridge to Dvoračky. Then descend to Kotelní Jams, from where you can follow the Krakonoš trail to Horní Mísečky. There are 27 cycling routes and trails in the Giant Mountains. The main cycle route is the Jizera-Krkonoše route, which connects Harrachov and Žacléř. The others are a system of circular and destination cycle routes, which mainly use passable forest roads and bridleways in the third zone of the KRNAP. Fun on hairpin bends, terrain waves and wooden footbridges. This is the Bikepark in Vítkovice, at the top of the Prezidentský Express slope. The bike park has two routes. The POHODA track is 2.5 km long and is suitable for families with children. The FUNFLOW track is suitable for more advanced riders and is 2.7 km long. The Bikepark and the cable car to the top will be open from 1 July 2023.
